This course describes the competencies required by a Craft sperson in order t o apply a 
wide range of automotive science principles in their work. It includes resolve f orces, 
Determine effects of loads in automotive systems, Analyse properties of materials,

motion , apply simple machines concepts, determine the effect of heat and gas laws

This course describes the competencies required by a Craft person in order to apply 
algebra apply trigonometry and hyperbolic functions, apply complex numbers, apply 
coordinate geometry, carry out binomial expansion , apply calculus, solve ordinary 
differential equations, carry out mensuration , apply power series, apply statistics, 
apply numerical methods, apply vector theory and apply matrix.

This course covers the competencies required to prepare and in terpret technical 
drawings. It involves competencies to select , use and maintain drawing equipment and 
materials. It also involves producing plain geometry drawings, solid geometry drawings, 
pictorial and orthographic drawings of components and application of CAD packages.
